* The legendary IWC Doppelchronograph goes down as the first mass produced split second chronograph watch to be released into the market. Previous incarnations were notoriously difficult to manufacture and liable to malfunction. IWC and head watchmaker Richard Habring managed to incorporate the Valjoux 7750 movement and modified it heavily to incorporate a spit second (rattrapante) function, the result was a huge success - not only was the movement incredibly hard wearing and reliable, the cost to purchase such a complicated watch was reduced significantly.

* This particular model comes in excellent condition and perfect working order. The watch comes fitted to the hard to find beads of rice bracelet and includes IWC service card and purchase receipt from Wempe Jewellers dated 2001.
